Services

All children learn through participating in everyday activities and meaningful experiences with their family and caregivers, and all children, regardless of needs, benefit from interventions built around their daily routines. I provide support services that are family-centered, and individualized based on child and family needs, routines, preferences, learning styles, and cultural beliefs. My services are provided in your child's natural environment - settings, materials, people, and activities that your child knows well.

Services I offer include developmental screening, family education and support, working with the parent to identify areas of delay and/or behavioural issues and then developing and implementing functional learning activities designed to strengthen development, recommending professional supports and services (i.e.: speech pathology services), embedded coaching and modeling of direct intervention practices, and parent mentoring. Some of the many ways I have helped families over the years include connecting families to professional supports, managing anxieties and behavioural issues, improving social skills, turn-taking, making choices, toilet training, increasing attention span, and improving fine and gross motor skills, and adaptive, communication, and cognitive skills.

Disclaimer*I do not provide evaluation, diagnosing, or treatment, and as such, my services are not to be confused with those provided by a licensed professional (i.e.: Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, Pediatricians, etc.).

Typically, "early" intervention services are provided from birth up to school entry. My services can extend further depending on the unique needs and circumstances of your child/family.
