Taanishi! Hello! My name is Tandy, and I am so pleased that you have taken the time to visit my website. Please click the underlined links throughout this section to learn more about their respective areas.
I have over 25 years of experience providing early childhood development enrichment and over 14 years of providing paid direct early intervention. I am a proud citizen of the Saskatchewan Métis Nation. I believe that strong families build strong communities and that children are the foundation.
I am a U of R alumna (BA [Hons] Psyc.'02), and currently working toward my BSW and certificate in Reconciliation Studies. I have completed several courses and certificates in infant and child development. I continuously add to my educational and professional development through credit education courses, attending conferences and webinars, and reading up on and conducting my own research into current, best practices. I have worked for several organizations in Regina, SK providing early intervention services, and I am familiar with many of the systems presently in place.
I have many years of experience working with children with anxiety, trauma, sensory processing difficulties, behaviour difficulties, motor stereotypies, genetic disorders, global developmental delay (GDD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD).
More importantly, I am a mother of four children aged 16-31 years, two of whom are neurodivergent. I am also a grandma of two amazing little girls. These lovely human beings have taught me, and continue to teach me, an incredible amount. They are who inspire me to live in the moment, to worry less, and to play more.
I can't wait to meet you!
